This is the artist's representation of the "Bull of Heaven", a mythical creature defeated by the ancient hero Gilgamesh. And yet, how many of our ancient texts celebrate civilisation's destruction of the beasts of the wild, so often depicted as untamed and monstrous. Not here. My bull is resurrected and standing proud, its fur golden, its head selflessly dropped in defence of its herd as it expells its great breath, hot and full of life in the chill winter air. This is about bringing back our love and respect for the wilderness, the wild and the unrestrained forces of nature that unashamedly reside in them.
